Most, if not all of our graduates, want a job in the Hollywood movie or TV industries. Our mission is to give our students the real-life tools, both technical and intellectual, required to succeed in an extremely competitive marketplace.
Our Faculty Are Working Film Professionals
They are screenwriters, directors, cinematographers, set designers, editors, producers, actors, production managers, lighting directors, etc. They teach both the details of their craft and the reality of their business. Their personal and corporate connections give students unique learning opportunities and access to equipment and facilities reserved for professionals. CCH includes among its staff several Emmy and Academy Award winners.
Personal Voice
It’s an underlying tension that all film and television students must confront. The tension between commercial filmmaking and personal voice is one we embrace at CCH. We work to demonstrate that artistic expression and commercial success are not mutually exclusive.
We Put Cameras In Student’s Hands From Their First Term
As a filmmaker, it “feels” natural to express oneself visually. We give students the space and time in which to develop as artists, making CCH a place where one is free to experiment, take risks, and even fall on one’s cinematic face from time to time.
Careers Are Started
Our students are placed in rewarding jobs in the entertainment industry as evidenced by our strong job success rate. Prior to graduation, students participate in internships at Hollywood studios as soon as their sophomore year. Our Career Development Office, led by a Hollywood veteran with development and production experience in all aspects of motion pictures and television production, provides direct access to job openings and advisors assist students in preparation for job interviews. Working industry professionals have made it known that a CCH graduate is known as a student who is professional and ready to step onto a live set and make a positive contribution.
