Dorm Option

Students who wish to live in a campus environment have the option of residing at Meridian Pointe Dorms located on the campus of California State University Northridge. CSUN is a university community of nearly 34,000 students on a 356-acre campus and is located 5 miles from the CCH campus.

Because shuttle service is not be offered to the CCH campus for students residing at Meridian Pointe, this option is best for students who will have access to transportation while enrolled at CCH.

At Meridian Point, students have a choice of the following room types and rates (prices subject to change). There are a limited number of rooms available in each room category and housing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Students should therefore secure these rooms as far in advance as possible.

Drake Studio

Upgraded furnished studio rooms that have been renovated with new tile, new furnishings, new granite-like countertops and new appliances. All rooms also contain a two-burner stove but no oven, a portable refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink, bath sink and small desk. Students can choose either a private room or a shared room. These rooms also share a bathroom with the occupant on the other side of the bathroom.

Columbus Studio

Upgraded furnished studio rooms that have been renovated with new tile, new furnishings, new granite-like countertops and new appliances. All rooms contain a two-burner stove but no oven, portable refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink, bath sink and small desk. These rooms have a small separated sitting area that can accommodate a dinette table, and have private baths. Students can choose either a private room or a shared room.

Magellan Studio

Upgraded furnished studio rooms that have been renovated with new tile, new furnishings, new granite-like countertops and new appliances. All rooms also contain a small stove with oven, portable refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink, bath sink and small desk. Students can choose either a private room or a shared room. These rooms have a private bathroom.

Magellan One Bedroom

These rooms are upgraded furnished one-bedroom apartments that have been renovated with new tile, new furnishings, new granite-like countertops and new appliances. All rooms have a separate kitchen with full-size appliances including an oven and stove, and have private baths. Students can choose either a private room or a shared room.

Raleigh Studio

Furnished slightly larger studio rooms that have been renovated with new tile, new furnishings and new appliances. These rooms contain a portable refrigerator, microwave oven, and desk and chair, but they do not contain a stove (students can purchase a hot plate at a nearby store). Additionally, these rooms contain only one sink. Students can choose either a private room or a shared room. These rooms also share a bathroom with the occupant on the other side of the bathroom.

Students who wish to reside at Meridian Pointe must apply directly to Meridian Pointe and contract directly with Meridian Pointe for their rooms. Your monthly housing charge will be billed directly to you by Meridian Pointe and cannot be added to your CCH student account.

CCH students living at Meridian Pointe can also take advantage of “The Zone”, Meridian’s new student center featuring exercise facilities, study lounges, game room, media room and other student activities. Membership to The Zone is $25.00 per month.

Housing Application

To apply for housing at Meridian Pointe, you must complete a Meridian Pointe Housing Application and submit the application directly to Meridian Pointe. If you are submitting the application by fax, your signature on the application must be notarized and can then be faxed to (818) 886-8650. Applications submitted in person do not have to be notarized. The CCH Housing Coordinator is available to assist you in arranging your housing at Meridian Pointe. For students who desire to arrange their own housing, the Columbia College Hollywood campus is located in a heavily populated residential area and apartment options are abundant. Rental rates vary depending on the type of unit desired and number of roommates.
