Jonathan Matthews graduated from West Virginia University College of Law and served as Assistant Attorney General of West Virginia for four years. Concurrent with his appointment, he was an attorney and civil rights litigator. After several years as an attorney, he transitioned to the entertainment industry where he became Spike Lee’s assistant at New York University and was chosen for the Film Independent Documentary Lab. He co-wrote/co-directed Black Dog Red Dog which was produced by James Franco, and he wrote and directed an anti-bullying PSA starring Morgan Spurlock.
